3 Quick Ways To Get Targeted Traffic To Your Website Today

The lifeblood of any Internet based business is traffic. Ask any online business coach and they will tell you that the question they are asked more than any other is how to get traffic (and by traffic I mean visitors) to their websites. No traffic means no sales or sign-ups… the equation is simple.

Before you start worrying about how to attract traffic you need to have something to send traffic to. Many ask the question about how to attract visitors before they have set up anything to send that traffic to. If that describes where you are at then don’t worry about traffic and get an offer up and running, preferably a squeeze page that will grow your list. If you have already got that set up then read on…

It does not matter how fantastic your website or squeeze page might be if it has no visitors coming to it. Without traffic any website is totally useless. Equally, if that traffic is not targeted to the offer on the website or squeeze page it is just as useless. Imagine, for example, having a website all about training dogs but the only visitors coming to the site were interested in photography. It does not matter how many thousands of visitors you might be able to attract you will not be able to sell very much dog training material, if any!

So, we are interested in not only attracting visitors to the website but we are also interested in ensuring that they are pre-disposed to whatever our offer is… that is they are targeted to our offer. This then begs the question, “How do we attract them?” The answer is that there are quite literally thousands of ways of attracting targeted visitors but I will limit my self here to discussing only three.

Online Advertising

Obviously this heading will encompass many different advertising tactics but I am going to group them all together in order to discuss them here. My aim is simply to point out that there are many options available to you rather than to suggest on specific technique is better than any other.

Some forms of online advertising cost nothing to deploy except some time while others have a cost associated with them. Last month I wrote about solo ads. This is a paid form of online advertising. Other options might include Facebook ads or banner advertising to name but two. Examples of free online advertising options would include article marketing and Ad swaps.

My point is that there are multiple options available to you. You are limited only by your imagination and your budget. It is a simple matter of finding something that works for you and your niche and repeating the process over and over again. You don’t have to even know what every advertising technique there is let alone use them all. Find something that works and do it again, and again, and again…

Commenting On Other Blogs

This is a technique I have used for some considerable time and for me it works extremely well. All you do is find blogs written by people in your niche and when they post a new article you read it and leave a comment about the article. I especially seek out CommentLuv enabled blogs because they make the process easier. When you leave a comment you get to leave a link to a post on your own blog or a link to one of you offers in your ‘signature’.

It is important that your comment adds value to the original article so that other reading it see your comment and recognize that you are an authority in this niche and perhaps your link might well be worth looking at. With one click they are visiting your blog and if they like what they see they may well sign up on one of the list builders you have on hand to capture their e-mail address. After that… well you get the picture.

Using Social Media

There are so many different ways you can use social media to attract targeted traffic to your offers that it would not be possible to list them all in this single article. Many social media platforms have different options within them that you can use to your advantage. For example Facebook has your timeline to get you started but it also has groups and fan pages as well as live video streaming with Facebook Live. Google+ allows you to set up and join communities and groups. Yes, I said Google+ – it may be considered to be dead by many but, believe it or not, it works better than any other social network for me.

The thing to remember when using social media as a traffic source is to be social. The average user on Twitter did not come online specifically to find your latest promotion. They came to engage with other people… so engage! Post useful content, entertain, make yourself known and be social.

Conclusion

As I said earlier there are any number of ways to attract targeted visitors to your site. I have briefly mentioned three that I use and I am sure that you could add as many again. Tomorrow will see a new technique emerge because that is the way of the Internet. What I have tried to do with this article is to suggest that getting visitors who are interested in what you have to offer id not at all difficult.

Let me repeat what I said earlier. You don’t have to even try every technique that there is let alone master them. Find something that works for you and keep doing it. If you need to find another to add to it once you have mastered the first to get even more visitors but once you are attracting sufficient visitors all you need to do is what you have already been doing.

Finding traffic is one of those things that newbies in particular worry about but once you have your websites/squeeze pages set up the rest will fall into place. There are many options available to you even though they may vary from niche to niche. It is a simple matter of finding one or two that work for you and doing the same thing next week as you did last week.
